It was a delight recently to join friends at the annual Orchid Ball supporting Selby Gardens, Downtown Sarasota's world-renowned botanical gardens. This special black tie occasion features a champagne reception, dinner and dancing, with all proceeds benefitting the Garden's community education, research, and conservation efforts.
Established by a group of forward-thinking women, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens provides 45 acres of bayfront sanctuaries across two campuses with a mission centered on connecting people with air plants of the world, native nature, and our regional history. The Gardens offer a beautiful landscape for exploration and provide access and education to thousands of underserved children in the Sarasota community.
