We all wish we had a crystal ball for the economy, especially with the type of volatility that began last year and is sure to continue into 2023. In his latest column, Premier SIR CEO Budge Huskey details his outlook for 2023, for housing and for the economy at large.
Though he predicts a 'lackluster' year for real estate, Budge tempers the outlook with specifics about Sarasota's advantages, including our thriving demographics and the long-term reality of appreciating property value. With rising interest rates and sustained prices, there's not as much opportunity for finding 'underpriced' properties as deal-seekers might hope. But, there is still a lot of opportunity in the market... especially when we take the long view.
