Breaking news! The latest U.S. News and World Report rankings were released this week and Sarasota is in the Top 10 Best Places to Live in the entire U.S.!
It's no surprise to those of us who already call SRQ home, but it's awesome to see more and more recognition of Sarasota's appeal. In addition to landing the #9 spot on the Best Places to Live ranking, Sarasota also made the top ten for Safest Places to Live and Fastest-Growing Places in the U.S.
These rankings all underscore the benefits of living in Sarasota - the natural beauty, affordability, great schools, and job opportunities are a combination that's hard to top. The Sarasota lifestyle is comfortable for people at all different stages of life and with a variety of budgets, adding to the vibrant culture and diversity of our coastal city.
The Best Places to Live list offers a comprehensive ranking of the country's largest metropolitan areas based on how well they suit Americans' preferences for where to live based on overall desirability, job opportunity, and housing affordability. Sarasota rose seven spots since our #16 ranking last year, in part because we are the second-fastest growing metro area out of all the places featured on the list. Our growing population and expanding local economy add to the year-round energy here and bring new business opportunities throughout the region. I have a feeling that Sarasota's popularity will continue to rise, and I can't wait to see what the next year brings!
